The Glen Innes Highlands are well served by many schools including several public primary schools, a Catholic primary school and a public secondary school. Glen Innes is also home to tertiary education options. The University of New England (UNE) has a well-staffed and well- resourced access centre for students and the New England Institute of TAFE also has a campus in the heart of Glen Innes providing many vocational education options.
New England Community College Inc (NECC) offers a diverse range of certificate courses, general interest courses, computer training and literacy and numeracy tuition in the New England area. We have offices in Guyra, Armidale and Glen Innes.
For work or pleasure, for income or leisure, NECC is your local Registered Training Organisation. Our certificate courses are nationally recognised qualifications.

Glen Innes High School is a comprehensive, co-educational high school providing educational opportunities for students (Years 7 to 12) in a diverse rural setting.
Glen Innes is situated in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 100km from Armidale. The school provides high quality learning opportunities delivered by highly trained, experienced teachers.
Our students excel in a broad curriculum including most academic subjects, sport, music, drama, visual arts, photography, agriculture and a full range of vocational education and training subjects. The school has been recognised as an excellent rural school in student achievement in the Higher School Certificate, School Certificate and National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy.

Glen Innes Public School (GIPS) is a large primary school located on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales.
The school caters for approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Year Six. The students come from homes based in the town of Glen Innes, from rural holdings in the surrounding shire and from smaller villages, whose residents use Glen Innes as their major goods and services centre.
Having been established on its present site in 1875 the school features a range of architectural styles from its oldest building, a former Presbyterian Church (1870) to a more modern open-plan library built in 1982. The school has extensive grounds, beautifully populated with native and exotic trees and shrubs that add to its historical ambience.

Red Range Public School is a small rural school which boasts excellent facilities situated nineteen kilometres east of Glen Innes.
Red Range is a small farming community which gained its name from the red soil that covers the surrounding hills. Cattle, sheep, potatoes and cereal crops are the main farming opportunities.
