Tamworth NAIDOC Debutante Ball

The Tamworth NAIDOC Debutante Ball is a formal ceremony where young Indigenous men and women are introduced to their community as emerging adults. Rooted in the tradition of debutante balls, this event has been culturally adapted to reflect and celebrate Indigenous identity, values, and heritage. The debutantes and their partners are presented to Elders, community, and families. The event will include a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremonies, and traditional performances such as dance, music, or storytelling, blending cultural traditions with modern celebration.
